Feature and Follow Friday #10

feature and follow friday

**********

Feature and Follow Friday is a weekly event hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read that allows bloggers to spread the word about their blog and gain new followers. Each week bloggers also answer a book related question. This week’s question is:

Hard print (real thing) or Kindle/Nook, which is your favourite? – Suggested by The Realm of Books

I  do like the convenience of e-readers/e-books but I love holding a hard print copy of a book in my hands.  Being able to turn paper pages of a book, put a bookmark between the pages, display books on a shelf – it can’t be beat.

~*~

Which do you prefer – e-books or hard print?

You Are It! We are playing #FF tag this week. Comment on as many blogs as you can, even if they aren’t participating in #FF. Just say Happy #FF! At the end of your comment. Keep a running total if you want and update your post with it. The bigger the number the more impressed we will be!

What is a book you didn’t like that all your friends raved about or what book did you love that wasn’t popular?

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer.  It wasn’t that I disliked it, but I didn’t love it either.  I had heard so many wonderful things about it, yet after I had read it, I felt disappointed.  It just didn’t captivate me.

Confess your sins!  Is there anything as a newbie blogger that you’ve done, that as you gained more experience you were like – oops?

~*~

Absolutely.  When I first started blogging, I really was learning with every post that I published and every review that I wrote.  When I first started reviewing books, I thought my reviews were long enough, but after a while I realized that maybe they were too short – that I wasn’t delving deep enough into the story.  Now, I review the story and the characters.  I just make sure to not reveal any spoilers.

We always talk about books that we want. Let’s turn it on its head. What books have you given other people lately?

I love giving people books.  I haven’t bought any books for anyone lately (budget won’t allow for it), but I have previously bought one of my best friends a copy of Twilight and a copy of Vampire Academy.

What books have you given someone?

Happy Reading. 😀

Best cover? What is the best cover of a book that you’ve read and loved?

~*~

~*~

There are so many book covers that I just love, but the first one that comes to mind is the cover of Fallen by Lauren Kate.  I love that cover.  It’s mysterious, beautiful and haunting, and I just love the dress.  When I first saw Fallen in the bookshop, I picked it up because of the cover.  Once I read the book description I knew I had to read it.  It was a fantastic book.  Loved it.

What book have you read where you loved the book and the cover?

What is one thing you wish you could tell your favourite author?

I would love to be able to tell Stephenie Meyer just how much her Twilight series changed my life. It gave me back my love of reading; and in turn I started a book blog, and it also made me realize that I now want to work in a library.  Twilight really did change my life.  ♥
